Are you organized, proactive, and motivated to ensure smooth purchasing and material availability? Do you enjoy working with suppliers, data, and internal stakeholders to keep operations running efficiently? Join us as an Operative Buyer, located in Nis , and take responsibility for day-to-day purchasing operations and supplier coordination. In this role, you will support reliable processes, maintain accurate system data, and contribute to continuous improvement across different activities.
Responsibilities
Takes responsibility for material availability in allocated designated products and ensures optimized inventory levels. Issues purchase orders for allocated materials and identified requirements through SAP. Controls acknowledgment and acceptance of orders and monitors in case of discrepancies. Tracks goods according to upcoming dates and escalates to suppliers when necessary. Manages and continuously updates lead times. Communicates and escalates within the Commodity Team in case of irregularities. Ensures that quantity requirements are accurate. This can be done via direct operative purchasing planning (MRP) or through close daily interaction with planning functions at the production site. Provides support for the implementation and responsibility for executing workflows (e.g., EDI or ActiveAdobe). Optimizes order quantities according to demand situations. Defines the ideal order quantity and optimizes value by using the best price breaks where possible. Issues/pulls orders on a regular basis to optimize inventory levels for the respective products. Creates and manages forecasts and coordinates with suppliers (ZM_Forecast). Monitors operational purchasing KPIs and ensures continuous supplier performance and inventory level improvement in cooperation with the Commodity Team.
Skills & Experience
Experience in operational purchasing Minimum VI level of education, preferably in economics English language proficiency Knowledge of processes and SAP Basic technical skills. Basic economic skills Proactive and team player
